The Rollingwood 7-Eleven store was robbed at gunpoint Sunday and the suspects evaded police officers, police said today.
Police responded to a report of a robbery at the 2020 Rollingwood Dr. store at about 5:30pm and were told that three men, all wearing dark clothing and ski masks, had entered with handguns and ordered the employees and customers in the convenience store to lie on the ground.
The alleged robbers, who all had black semi-automatic handguns, took customers' belongings as well as merchandise and cash from the store, police said.
Police arrived at the scene and checked the surrounding area, but officers weren't able to locate the suspects. The suspects were last seen fleeing on foot, police said.
One suspect was described as being 5-foot-8 with a slender build and wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, white ski mask and black gloves. Another suspect was described as being a heavy set man about 5-foot-3 and wearing a white T-shirt under a hoodie, blue jeans and a black ski mask. That suspect's braids were seen sticking out under the hoodie, according to police.
