BART restores service after train hits, kills man

By Wyatt Buchanan

BART has restored service fully to Richmond after a train apparently struck and killed a man at the Richmond station this afternoon.

Riders will still face some residual delays throughout the system, according to BART.

The station was closed for two-and-a-half hours after the man's body was spotted under a train about 4:10 p.m., BART spokesman Linton Johnson said.

Johnson said BART police do not suspect foul play and that witnesses reported seeing the man jump in front of the train as it entered the station.
