Ballot in place for BART board election
By Michael CabanatuanThe ballot is set for the Nov. 4 election for the BART district covering the Tri-Valley.
Linda Jeffery Sailors, a former Dublin mayor and retired business consultant, and John McPartland, a BART employee, filed papers to run for the District Five seat on the nine-member BART Board of Directors. Incumbent director Zoyd Luce did not file for re-election, which extended the filing period until Wednesday.
Two other seats on the BART board are contested. Incumbent Lynette Sweet of San Francisco is being challenged by Marshall Walker III, a retired planner from Richmond, in District Seven. In District Nine, incumbent Tom Radulovich is running against San Francisco attorney Peter Klivans.
