The identity of a man killed Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 101 in San Bruno was released today by the San Mateo County coroner's office.

Marwan Arafat, 35, of San Mateo, was killed at about 4:20 p.m. on southbound Highway 101, when, according to the California Highway Patrol, he veered into another lane to avoid slowing traffic on the highway just past the on-ramp for San Francisco International Airport.

Arafat's Chevy Blazer struck a Toyota Camry, turned over and he was ejected, the CHP reported. The driver of the Camry suffered minor injuries.

According to the CHP, the Chevy Blazer, which had a Florida license plate, was seen driving erratically before the accident, driving recklessly in and out of traffic and across all lanes.

Investigators do not believe Arafat was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
