San Bruno sobriety checkpoint planned Monday
By StaffIn at least the third planned crack down on drunken drivers this year, the San Bruno Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint at one of the city's busy intersections Monday night.
The checkpoint will be conducted from 7 p.m. until midnight near the intersection of El Camino Real and San Bruno Avenue, the Police Department reported.
The sobriety checkpoint is funded by a grant from the state Office of Traffic Safety. Police say their goal is to deter and arrest intoxicated motorists and to protect the safety of all drivers.
Police held two nearby checkpoints in May and August.
