Train elevation talks to resume

By Staff

A citizen oversight board considering Caltrain's plan to elevate the train tracks in San Bruno is expected to resume talks in mid July, city officials said Thursday.

City officials have canceled Citizens Advisory Committee meetings since late April so Caltrain engineers could sharpen designs to build a bridge for cars over San Bruno, San Mateo and Angus avenues.

Connie Jackson, the San Bruno city manager, said the committee could give more exact input once more developed plans are given by Caltrain.

The committee has helped craft plans for traffic circulation, parking, public art, and the realignment of Angus Avenue. "The CAC has a very important role to play," Jackson said.
