Flooded BART station causing problems
By StaffA Daly City Bay Area Rapid Transit station that was flooded this week during fierce rainstorms is still causing problems for the train system, officials say.
According to BART officials, a flooded control room in the Daly City station has forced a reduction in the volume of trains through the area.
Until the station is dried out and fixed, some trains coming from Fremont are being turned back at the 24th Street Station in San Francisco and others are being forced to travel at a slower speed through the area, officials said.
Crews are working hard and hope to resolve the problem by Monday, although it may take longer, according to BART officials.
