Disabilities commission recruiting
By San Mateo County Times StaffThe Commission on Disabilities of San Mateo County is looking for seven people,committed to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities, to fill vacancies on the commission.
The commission serves as an advisory group to the Board of Supervisors. It provides an opportunity for people with disabilities to influence the development of public policy that promotes full integration of people with disabilities into their communities. Applicants must be aware of the needs of people with disabilities through life, work or community experience or have a family member with a disability.
The commission meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 3 p.m. at the Health & Welfare Building, Rooms A&B, 225 37th Ave., San Mateo.
