City Issues Forest Lane Parking Changes
By Scott T. Munns, P.E.SAN BRUNO
The following is addressed to all residents along Forest Lane from Easton Avenue to Huntington Avenue, and all Easton Avenue, Masson Avenue, Mills Avenue, and Huntington Avenue properties within 300 feet of Forest Lane.
This is to provide information to affected residents about interim parking changes planned for Forest Lane commencing on Tuesday, March 14, 2000.
The City of San Bruno and the BART construction contractor Tutor-Saliba/Slattery are working together to provide replacement parking for the residential neighborhood west of Huntington Avenue between Forest Lane and San Mateo Avenue. Parking along Huntington Avenue will need to be eliminated due to the traffic control required for the planned BART-SFO extension.
As part of that cooperative effort, City crews will be re-striping the north side of Forest Lane adjacent to I-380 to provide angle parking between Easton Avenue and Huntington Avenue. This will increase the total number of parking spaces that are available on the street. All existing parallel parking along both sides of Forest Lane will need to be eliminated as part of the changes, and "No Parking" signs will be posted along the south side of the street to provide room for the one-way travel lane. It is anticipated that the parking changes will remain in place for the duration of the BART construction project.
Temporary "No Parking" signs have been posted for Tuesday March 14, 2000 through Wednesday March 15, 2000 to eliminate all parking on Forest Lane and provide the City's paint crew with room to work while implementing the striping changes.
The City of San Bruno appreciates your cooperation while we implement the replacement parking changes.
