JetBlue will land at San Francisco International Airport for the first time today, the first of three major "low-fare" domestic carriers expected to begin service at the airport in the next few months, Southwest Airlines is scheduled next week to announce a timeline for its plans to return to SFO in the fall, and Burlingame-based Virgin America is in the process of getting Department of Transportation approval to start flying out of the airport as well.
