Saying work on the Peninsula's BART extension has knocked its two-story parking garage off kilter, the Tanforan Park Shopping Center in San Bruno has sued the transit agency, San Mateo County Transit District and the project's general contractor to the tune of $20 million -- at least.

City officials this afternoon immediately went into action when informed by San Bruno B.A.R.T. of the potentially dangerous situation developing in the Tanforan Park Mall parking structure. Several large cracks developed recently, most noticeably this week, in the ground floor.
