After a long flight to Oakland, the last thing passengers going onward via BART need to deal with is a broken ticket machine. But that's the reality for many travelers at Oakland International Airport, as ChronicleWatch tipster Derek Shuman of Oakland points out. The four ticket machines for the BART shuttle bus often break down. They also don't accept dollar bills - only dollar coins, which travelers don't always have on hand.
