YouTube launches analytics tool

YouTube Inc. now lets users see who's watching a particular video and where it's being seen.
In a blog post, San Bruno-based YouTube said the free tool called YouTube Insight lets anyone with a YouTube account see the stats, which include a video's life cycle and popularity growth.
YouTube, which is owned by Mountain View-based Google Inc. (NASDQ:GOOG), said that using the tool can help people who post videos increase their view counts and popularity.
"With this information, you can concentrate on creating compelling new content that appeals to your target audiences, and post these videos on days you know these viewers are on the site," the post said. |
