Caltrain Service Fully Restored After Power Outage

Caltrain restored its train schedule to full service around noon Tuesday after a power failure delayed trains between San Francisco and South San Francisco for several hours earlier in the day.
The outage began affecting the Caltrain signal system about 8:30 a.m.
Power was restored by 11:55 a.m., according to Caltrain.
According to Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn, Caltrain signal lights are operated by a dispatcher and the telephone transmission line used by the dispatcher had experienced the power failure. |
