Caltrain to add trains to weekend evening service
By Leslie Griffy

Caltrain's evening schedule is getting a little easier to remember.

With the addition of one train in either direction on weekday nights, officials were able to juggle the schedule so that one train leave will the San Jose and San Francisco stations on every hour on the half-hour from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 starting March 3, spokesman Jonah Weinberg said.

Currently the trains leave at varying times in the evening, making the schedule more difficult to memorize.

Increasing demand for trains and a change in the way Caltrains maintains its cars allowed officials to add two trains, Weinberg said.

However, there is no change to the late-late schedule, Weinberg said. The final train to leave San Francisco will still do so at 12:01 a.m.
