Burlingame Train crossings to close for repairs
By Staff
The railroad grade crossing at North Lane in Burlingame will be temporarily closed, starting tonight, as part of Caltrain's yearlong renovation project of the Burlingame station.
Construction crews will close the southbound track at 8 p.m. to replace worn rails, ties and ballast, according to Caltrain. The track and roadway will reopen at 5 a.m. Monday in time for weekday traffic.
At the same time the city of Burlingame will be installing a sewer main underneath the railroad tracks at Oak Grove Avenue between California Drive and Carolan Avenue.
The road will be closed to westbound traffic and cars and pedestrians will need to detour around by using Howard Avenue or Broadway. |
