BART delays up to 30 minutes
By Staff

Passengers riding Bay Area Rapid Transit in the East Bay this morning can expect delays of up to 30 minutes following mechanical problems near the Fremont station that halted service between the Fremont and Union City stations around 7:20 a.m.

Since there is very limited service from Fremont through the Bay Fair station, transit agency spokesman Linton Johnson suggests riders take AC Transit bus No. 99 to get to Hayward or Bay Fair and then board a San Francisco-bound train.

Johnson is recommending that passengers headed from Fremont to San Francisco take a Richmond train and transfer at the Bay Fair station to catch a San Francisco-bound train.

Richmond trains to Fremont are going all the way through, according to Johnson.

Trains coming from the San Francisco area into Fremont should get off at Bay Fair and then catch a train to Fremont.
