BART service returns on Fremont line after power is restored
By Staff
BART service on the Fremont line was restored around 11:30 a.m., 90 minutes after a power outage on the tracks halted trains south of Hayward.
Service was disrupted at 10 a.m. after the third rail near the South Hayward station lost power, a BART spokesman said. At 11:30 a.m., the transit agency said trains were again moving between Hayward and Fremont.
Other BART lines were not affected, the system said.
The cause of the outage was not immediately known. Pacific Gas and Electric Co. officials said there were no other reports of outages in the area. |
