Shooting near MacArthur BART station leaves man dead
By Marisa Lagos

A 20-year-old man is dead and another man is recovering after being shot on the street near the MacArthur BART station, police said today.

Nathan Taylor and Donte Davis, 18, both of Oakland, were found around 1:20 p.m. Wednesday near Apgar Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way suffering from gunshot wounds, said Officer Roland Holmgren. Both men were taken to the hospital, where Taylor was pronounced dead.

Davis' wound is not life threatening, Holmgren said.

No arrests have been made, and Holmgren said investigators did not know the motive for the shooting. He asked that anyone with information call police at (510) 238-3821.
