SFO experiencing weather-related delays
By Staff

Travelers coming through San Francisco International Airport today can expect storm-related delays of up to one hour, mostly on arriving flights, airport duty manager Michael Brown said.

Brown said that low fog has forced the airport to control the flow of planes since 9 a.m. this morning, causing delays of between 30 minutes and an hour on many flights. While arriving flights are mainly being affected, departures could also be delayed, Brown said.

The restricted flow of air traffic is expected to continue causing delays until 7 p.m. tonight, but Brown said it is contingent on the weather.

Brown suggested that travelers check with their individual air carriers to see if they should expect delays.

Officials at Oakland International Airport and Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport reported there were no weather-related delays at their facilities today.
